Anna Wintour helicoptered from Long Island to Chelsea Piers Tuesday to join Roger Federer at the 270th Anniversary for Moët & Chandon. The carpet was cleared for her VIP entrance with an organizer sheet instructing workers to “hold civilian guests at door” for her arrival. Federer, Moët & Chandon’s global brand ambassador, had fashion on the brain even when it comes to the US Open: “They just announced they’re going to build a roof on the Louis Vuitton,” he told us civilians, stopping himself. “What, am I crazy? The Louis Armstrong Stadium and Arthur Ashe Stadium, so that’s gonna be great.” Federer, whose wife Mirka was spotted chatting to Marchesa’s Keren Craig, who offered to dress her, says his twin girls Myla Rose and Charlene Riva, 4, aren’t into tennis: “I would support them, but it doesn’t look like it at the moment yet.” He said they’re more into crafts, fairies and “girly” things. Also there: Josh Lucas, Kelly Bensimon, model Andrej Pejic, Jonathan Cheban and Katrina Bowden.
