Gerald Posner‘s “Miami Babylon” has been dogged by plagiarism charges since its publication last year, but that hasn’t stopped Los Angeles-based producer Cary Woods from teaming with two British production companies to option the book’s film and television rights. Says Woods, a co-founder of Plum TV: ” ‘Miami Babylon’ is going to become a tropical ‘Wire,’ ” referring to the gritty Showtime series.
