Kenneth Jay Lane gives $100,000 to Pratt Institute

Kenneth Jay Lane has moved a lot of rhinestones in his day. The costume jeweler shocked the black-tie crowd at the 20th Anniversary of Black Alumni of Pratt at the Four Seasons restaurant when he took the podium and announced he was giving the institute a gift of $100,000. Leading the roaring applause were event co-chairs Dan and Cynthia Lufkin, Robert and Grace De Niro, Oscar de la Renta, Deborah Roberts, Al Roker, Maria Cuomo Cole, Mica Ertegun, Carolyne Roehm, and honorees Lee Daniels, Peter Max, Annette de la Renta, Naeem and Ranjana Khan and Marisa Acocella Marchetto.
