‘Need for Speed’ star Aaron Paul jokes about racing Bieber

“Who wouldn’t want to race against Justin Bieber?” joked Aaron Paul at a Cinema Society screening of his racing flick “Need for Speed,” alluding to the pop star’s recent arrest for alleged drag racing.

Paul quickly added, “No, I do not support what Justin Bieber does on the street.”

Paul did get behind the wheel for most of the stunts in the movie, but says he was only scared once.

“I never really felt like I was in danger,” he said. “The scariest was a specific shot where the director wanted me flying at the camera and just skidding to a stop . . . Someone was holding that camera, so I was a little nervous to hit the person, and that was our director. And he said, ‘If you hit me, don’t worry about it, I’ll just roll over the car,’ and that didn’t make me feel good about the situation.”

Paul’s former “Breaking Bad” co-star Bryan Cranston came straight from his Broadway play “All the Way” to the Bushmill’s-sponsored after-party at Jimmy at the James Hotel, where the pair sat talking at a corner table for hours.
