Though he’s still basking in the success of “The Wolf of Wall Street,” Leonardo DiCaprio is already eyeing his next project — playing Theodore Roosevelt.

“Leo is telling friends that after his latest movie proved to be a massive box-office hit, he’s pushing forward with his biopic of Roosevelt, which will re-team him with . . . director Martin Scorsese,” a source revealed to RadarOnline.

Word of the proposed film first came about in 2007, after Scorsese nabbed his first Oscar for directing “The Departed.” Though funding never materialized, DiCaprio hopes that his “Wolf” role — which may earn the actor his first Oscar win — could reignite interest in the project.

The film, based on Edmund Morris’ Pulitzer-winning biography “The Rise of Theodore Roosevelt,” would span Roosevelt’s life from his sickly childhood to presidency of the United States.

It would be the sixth time DiCaprio and Scorsese have worked together following “Wolf,” “Shutter Island,” “The Departed,” “The Aviator” and “Gangs of New York.”
