De Blasio to be roasted by journalists at City Hall

Newly-minted mayor Bill de Blasio is due to make his inaugural appearance at an annual show put on by City Hall reporters — and is slated to get the requisite roasting by the group of journos, sources say.

Sources close to this year’s Inner Circle production, dubbed “Stuck With de Bill,” gave me a sneak peek at some of the best zingers in Saturday’s show, a parody that showcases how cleverly journalists write and how poorly they sing and dance.

De Blasio will be mocked as a would-be Robin Hood trying to steal from the rich to give to the poor. When the Mayor — hiding out in Chirlane Forest, named for his wife — is told of his wealthy constituents: “They’re armed, and they’re dangerous. But we hear you are an excellent swordsman,” de Blasio, played by Paul Murnane of WCBS Radio (wearing stilts?) replies, “I believe you are confusing me with Eliot Spitzer.”

But some of the sharpest barbs will target other, more scandalized pols. Later, former mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner (C.J. Papa of Verizon News) walks into an Obamacare emergency room and says, “Can you help me, nurse? The pain has lasted more than four hours. I think I’ve got an election problem.”

Toronto Mayor Rob Ford (The Post’s political editor Dave Seifman) tells de Blasio aides how he handled the bad winter: “I took care of the snow in Toronto. One line at a time.”

Gabe Pressman plays Rev. Orlando Findlayter, who got out of jail after de Blasio made a call to cops. Gabe sings, to the tune of “Michael Row the Boat Ashore,” “Mayor Bill, he made a call. Hallelujah!”

The mayor, who closes the show at the New York Hilton with a rebuttal spoof, is breaking with the tradition of employing the cast of a Broadway show. Expect to see some of de Blasio’s friends in show business, a combination of Steve Buscemi, Cynthia Nixon and Jon Stewart.
