Lindsay Lohan Playboy interview released

Lindsay Lohan says that posing for Playboy magazine not only felt natural — it gave her “confidence” and “was an important thing for me as a woman.”

“Sex and sexuality are a part of nature, and I go along with nature,” Lohan said in her Playboy interview, which is appearing online just days after the images of her nude photoshoot leaked on a file-sharing Web site based in the Ukraine.

“I think Marilyn Monroe once said that,” Lohan continued. “I certainly agree with her … Knowing yourself and your body is so important because it gives you confidence, and in life, women need confidence. It’s a very male-dominated world to begin with, so knowing yourself and being comfortable with your body is an important thing for me as a woman. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but this is mine.”

Lohan was set to unveil her Playboy spread on Thursday during an appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” her first interview since her most recent legal drama.

But last Wednesday, the cover leaked online. By Friday, all 10 images of Lohan’s Marilyn Monroe-inspired nude spread, shot in front of a billowing red curtain, had appeared online, prompting the magazine to release the issue ahead of schedule.

Playboy head honcho Hugh Hefner tweeted on Friday, “Because of the interest and the internet leak, we’re releasing the Lindsay Lohan issue early … Lindsay Lohan was the top search name on the internet yesterday. Hot Hot Hot.”

He added on Saturday, “The Lindsay Lohan issue will make the perfect Christmas issue for men in your life — father, son, husband, boyfriend, whoever.”

While Lohan reportedly made $1 million posing for the magazine, she is apparently out $10,000 after her purse was stolen at a party over the weekend.

While on vacation in Hawaii, Lohan’s $5,000 Chanel purse went missing at a house party, leaving her in a frenzy because the bag contained a large amount of cash in addition to the actress’ passport and probation documents. According to TMZ, police were called to the party to look for the missing purse. Only after they left was the purse recovered, by a party-goer who claimed to have found the bag in the street.

Lohan’s rep, Steve Honig, told the Daily Mail, “Everything was still in the purse, except the cash she was carrying with her.”

Lohan had traveled to Hawaii to attend the Billabong Pipeline Masters surf competition, which honored her friend, professional surfer Andy Irons, who died last year. Lohan was accompanied by younger sister Ali Lohan.

The trip was approved by Lohan’s probation officer. She is reported to be ahead of schedule on her required community service at the Los Angeles County Morgue, serving more than 12 days for the month. On Wednesday, Lohan will appear in court before judge Stephanie Sautner for a status hearing.
