Although MTV announced it will go ahead with a sixth season of “Jersey Shore,” another drama has hit the franchise. Weeks after Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi announced she was pregnant and engaged to boyfriend Jionni LaValle, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has reportedly headed to rehab. Reports say the hard-partying lothario, who also makes thousands through paid appearances at nightclubs and events, is at an in-patient treatment facility. His rep said Sorrentino “has spent the past several weeks at an undisclosed location for much needed rest and recuperation after his extensive production and appearance schedule” — but she denied that the reality star is in rehab. MTV announced this week that the cast, including Paul “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio and Jenni “JWoww” Farley, would start filming a new season of the series this summer.
