Boys shoot movie in Jersey
Clint Eastwood, directing Warners’ 2014 movie, the stage-to-screen Tony-winning musical “Jersey Boys.” He’s shooting at Frankie Valli’s childhood home in Jersey. Frankie’s there. So’s the cast — Christopher Walken, John Lloyd Young, who plays Frankie, and “Boardwalk Empire’s” Vincent Piazza. Run over there. Maybe they’ll hum.

There’s hope for whomever moves in here
Bob Hope’s California mansion — 225,000 square feet — for sale for large millions? I’ve been in it. Stone cantilevered roof. Iron gate. Winding road. Dining room, armory-size. Vietnamese houseman Tuan, formerly Gen. Westmoreland’s helicopter pilot, and three in help served us chicken, potatoes, salad, string beans on silver trays. The centerpiece? A cluster of bejeweled Buddhist temples from the king of Thailand.
Forget how many the billiard room stands. It seated 21. One doorless closet was huge enough for 70 pairs of cotton plaid golf pants. Ten johns. Earth tones living room, terra cotta tile floor. Subdued lighting. Oversize couch. Pillows plumped to their plumpest.
Dolores’ suite — puffy quilts, pillows and sitting room. Next door, his bedroom, dressing room, office. Flowers, plants, teddy bears, stuffed animals everywhere. Photos of Nixon, Groucho, Eisenhower, Bing, Reagan everywhere else. And underfoot, dogs Lillian, Buffy and Buster.
