John McCain to Snooki: ‘I miss you’

Former GOP presidential candidate John McCain misses Snooki.

The senator struck a weirdly wonderful Twitter friendship with the “Jersey Shore” star when they both agreed that there should be no tax on tanning beds two years ago.

” I want to say to Snooki, I miss you,” McCain told MTV following the final presidential debate on Monday in Boca Raton, Fla. “I hope you’re happy. I hope everything’s fine with your baby and I wish you’d get rid of some of those jerks you’re hanging around with,” he said. “But that just comes from an old geezer that doesn’t understand a lot of that lifestyle.”

MTV star Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi has said that motherood has brought big changes to her hard-partying lifestyle. “It’s crazy ’cause, you know me, I always wanted to have a good time… It’s just totally different,” she revealed on “Today” earlier this week.

McCain added in his message to the reality star, “Congratulations again to her on the addition to the family and I still agree with her that we should never, never tax tanning beds. That was one of the worst things about Obamacare that could possibly have happened.”

In 2010, Snooki whined about Obama’s tanning bed tax, “I don’t go tanning anymore because Obama put a 10% tax on tanning. And I feel like he did that intentionally for us. McCain would never put a 10% tax on tanning because he’s pale and he’d probably want to be tan.”

McCain responded to the complaint via Twitter at the time: “@Sn00ki u r right, I would never tax your tanning bed!” he tweeted. “Pres Obama’s tax/spend policy is quite The Situation. but I do rec wearing sunscreen!”
