Christine Quinn – gals have more fun with fashion in politics

Christine Quinn, the mayoral hopeful whose vamped up New York Magazine cover photo drew comparisons to Dracula, thinks women can have more fun when it comes to fashion in politics. “I’d rather be a woman in politics than a man in politics,” she told us at Tuesday’s premiere of “Koch” at MoMA. “All they get to do is wear the same old boring blue, gray, tan suits over and over again. The thrill of their life is picking a tie. We’ve got pins and earrings and bracelets . . . I feel bad for them. And the one thing they get to pick is choking them all day.” Quinn added about the debate over her appearance on her magazine cover, “I don’t think it’s sexist at all.”
