Stevie Wonder halted his Super Bowl concert in New Orleans Saturday night — for his daughter Aisha Morris’ engagement. Wonder told the crowd at the Bud Light Hotel that Aisha — who is his backup singer and was the inspiration for Wonder’s hit single “Isn’t She Lovely” — just got engaged. But according to witnesses, “Stevie said he wanted her fiancé to re-propose to her so her father could hear it. It was a lovely moment.” The 62-year-old superstar played a concert that included several of his hits after opening with “How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You)” and “Higher Ground.” Others performing on the stage included Janelle Monáe and DJ Martin Solveig.
