Kristin Chenoweth plane trip ‘from hell’: claims ‘abuse’ over service dog

Kristin Chenoweth tweeted about her plane trip “from hell” after she and her Maltese tried to board a flight from Dallas to LA.

An American Airlines flight attendant supervisor reportedly told the actress that she did not have the right paperwork for her pup Maddie to board as a service dog, TMZ reports.

Chenoweth protested but the supervisor was supposedly “verbally abusive” in front of the passengers, and the star became so upset by the scolding she started crying.

The airline eventually realized the animal lover was clear to bring her service dog on the plane, but she was still not happy. She tweeted later, “American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supervisor Ms. Kidwell. Abuse not okay. #tripfromhell.”

TMZ spoke with an American Airlines rep, who said they offered Chenoweth their apologies and refunded the $125 cabin pet charge when they realized the error. “We hope she will consider flying American again in the future.”

Chenoweth is an animal rights advocate who recently hosted the 2012 American Humane Association Hero Dog Awards. She also started a charity called Maddie’s Corner in honor of her dog.
