Ted Turner said he was the perfect choice to be honored by the International Women’s Health Coalition at Cipriani 42nd Street the other night because, “There is nothing nearer and dearer to my heart than women. I love them all.” He mentioned his mother, grandmother, daughter and granddaughter, “and come to think of it, each one of my wives.” Turner also stressed the need to get rid of nukes, photographer Bettina Cirone reports. He told the crowd, “They say that New York is going to get blown up in the next five years, so I am planning to leave here for my place in New Mexico tonight right after accepting this award.”
