Donna Karan Oscar dresses get lost, then found, at LAX

A fashion disaster was averted at LAX after two Donna Karan Atelier dresses earmarked for Oscar attendees and presenters went missing.

Karan’s p.r. head, Aliza Licht, better known by her online handle “DKNY PR Girl,” seethed in a Twitter post: “I am trying to remain calm, but the plane just landed in LA & our #Oscars gowns are NOT on it.”

The dresses were shipped via a courier service and flown from New York to Los Angeles on American Airlines, but disappeared at LAX for a few hours.

“Ok great, so WHERE ARE THEY?” Licht posted in frustration on Twitter. “Oh I know, the snakes on the plane ate the #Oscars dresses.”

Eventually the gowns were found in the cargo area, in time for fittings on Tuesday.
