Kanye West has decided he wants the world to get its first look at his and Kim Kardashian’s daughter in the pages of Vogue. Too bad the magazine’s editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is “less than enthusiastic” about the exclusive.
RadarOnline reports that the new father, who’s had his clashes with paparazzi lately, wants to control the image the public gets of his daughter North, and has decided that only the pages of the legendary fashion publication will do.
“He knows what he wants — a professional photographer and the cover of Vogue – nothing else,” a source close to the musician tells the Web site. “But clearly, trying to persuade Anna is going to be an uphill battle.”
The problem is that Wintour doesn’t want reality stars in the pages of Vogue. Editors at the mag even cropped Kardashian out of West’s “Best Dressed” picture from this year’s Met Ball.
Don’t expect West to take no for an answer though, as the rapper seems to be pushing full speed ahead. He’s compiled stats to prove why Kardashian should be featured in the magazine, and gotten in touch with celebrity photographers Anne Leibovitz and Mario Testino. The source also said that West has Kardashian working out with personal trainers to get in shape for the shoot.
Of course, if Wintour won’t bend, West can take solace in one of the two new $2.4 million armored cars he just purchased. The International Business Times reports that the musician recently purchased two Dartz Motorz Prombrom Iron Diamonds for his young family. The vehicle’s ability to “avoid kidnapping, hijacking and other problems” is touted on the manufacturer’s Web site.
