Miley Cyrus’ girl-kiss shocks fans

Miley Cyrus went too far with her wild-child act by simulating a lesbian kiss with a female dancer onstage in Britain, some critics are saying.

Disney star Cyrus, 17, was out to shock on “Britain’s Got Talent” Thursday night, when she strutted in tiny hot pants and fishnet tights ripped near the crotch while performing her new single.

Mimicking Britney Spears and Madonna‘s onstage smooch at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, Cyrus stopped just short of actually kissing the scantily clad dancer as she sang her new number “Can’t Be Tamed.”

Cyrus has recently come under fire for raunchy antics that include performing a lap-dance at a video shoot, dancing around a stripper pole at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards and posing for provocative photos, including the infamous Vanity Fair shoot where she was naked under a bedsheet.

Former UsWeekly editor Bonnie Fuller told Page Six: “She is going to give ‘Hannah Montana’ fans a heart attack. It’s a mistake to oversex herself and her image, because her fan base is 6- to 11-year-old girls.

“They love her because Hannah Montana is wholesome. She’s their big sister who they can look up to as a role model, not somebody who is sexually obsessed and acting out her fantasies onstage. It is clear she is looking for crossover adult appeal, except she’s still signed to do ‘Hannah Montana’ for another year.”

Fuller added, “It is worrying because there are so many issues with former child stars — just look at Britney and Lindsay [Lohan].”

But Atoosa Rubenstein, former editor of Seventeen magazine, told us, “She’s an entertainer. She doesn’t want to be a brand for 12-year-olds, and at the end of the day, these people are first and foremost artists and not role models.”

Cyrus, who just finished filming the final season of “Hannah Montana,” recently told Billboard: “I’m just at a certain place where I’ve changed a lot as a person. I’ve grown up a lot.” Cyrus’ rep declined to comment.
