Sara Fitzmaurice — one of the art world’s top PR execs — and her art dealer husband, Perry Rubenstein, are divorcing after 17 years of marriage, Page Six has learned.
Sources said the pair, who wed in 1996 in Minneapolis, separated a year ago and are filing for divorce after quietly telling friends and family.
Through her Fitz & Co., Fitzmaurice’s clients include the Guggenheim Museum, Art Basel, Christie’s and Gagosian Gallery.
The couple said in a statement: “After being separated for the past year, we have reached a mutual and amicable decision to initiate divorce proceedings. We are committed to being strong co-parents and hope everyone can respect our privacy for the sake of our children.”
