Simon Cowell has some advice for the new CNN host Piers Morgan. Cowell agreed with Toby Knapp of DC Station Hot 99.5 that Morgan should “go live” on his taped show. “We could tape our shows, you know, two hours before they go out,” said Cowell, who’s preparing to launch his new “X Factor” show on Fox. “You kind of want things to go wrong because it makes it more interesting.” Morgan responded to us, “More than half my shows so far have been live. But I like occasional taped shows, too — they often produce strong pre-airing promotional buzz, as we saw with guests like Oprah and Howard Stern. Of course, one of the main reasons I can’t do live on CNN all the time is my contractual commitment to NBC’s ‘America’s Got Talent’ — where my boss is, oh hang on, Simon Cowell!”
