‘Fresh Prince’ producer dies while jogging

“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” producer Jeffrey Pollack died while jogging on Hermosa Beach on Monday, at age 54.

Pollack, who worked closely with Will Smith on the 1990s sitcom and also directed “Booty Call,” starring Jamie Foxx, was found unresponsive by a female jogger, dressed in running clothing and carrying an iPod nano playing Eagles music, reports The Wrap.

Hermosa Beach Police Department Capt. Tommy Thompson said, “It’s still unknown how he died; we’re not sure if it was a heart attack,” Thompson said. “But there were no signs of foul play.”

Pollack previously partnered with Benny Medina — said to be inspiration for Smith’s “Fresh Prince” character — to form management Medina/Pollack Entertainment.
