Irv Gotti to produce teenage pop star Maddi Jane

Hip-hop executive Irv Gotti is making his return to the music industry by producing an album for 14-year-old pop phenom Maddi Jane. The young musician, who is from Wheaton, Ill., and is home-schooled, is being touted as the female Justin Bieber. Jane, who appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” when she was just 11 and has 200,000 followers on Twitter, is working on her first solo album, to be produced by Gotti and his brother, Chris, who managed such artists as Ja Rule, Ashanti, Fat Joe and Vanessa Carlton under their Ink label. Songwriter Claude Kelly, who penned tracks for Britney Spears and Kelly Clarkson, is also collaborating on Jane’s album.
