Shoe king Christian Louboutin celebrated being named “Person of the Year” by Footwear News with a party at Provocateur immediately after. “Gossip Girl” beauty Blake Lively and 50 employees joined the designer for a Champagne toast.
Louboutin, known for his sexy stilettos with trademark red soles, offered to name a shoe after Lively after she spied a pair she loved at his atelier in Paris. He choked up in his acceptance speech when he described his company as a family, saying, “I’m sorry, French don’t do speeches.”
