Courtney Love loses house to IMAX titan

Two weeks ago, rocker Courtney Love tweeted that she was about to secure the coveted lease on Milla Jovovich‘s $7.5 million town house at 100 Greenwich Ave. But days later, the four-bedroom abode was snatched from under her nose by a mystery bidder. Sources tell Page Six it’s Rich Gelfond, the CEO of IMAX Corp. and a member of the Vanity Fair New Establishment 100 who’s riding high on the success of movies like “Avatar.” Gelfond is moving to the 4,000-square- foot home with his new bride, Peggy Bonapace. The couple married at a luxurious Oct. 2 fete on Ellis Island attended by a bevy of New York power brokers, including Gov. Paterson, Police Commissioner Ray Kelly and journo Carl Bernstein. Meanwhile, Love has taken herself off to London, where she’s consoling herself in the company of British art gallery owner Henry Allsopp.
