George Lucas buys lavish Santa Barbara home

“Star Wars” creator George Lucas has plunked down about $25 million on a spectacular beach house in Santa Barbara. With an estimated fortune of $3.25 billion, he snapped up the six-bedroom, four-bath abode complete with yoga room after the 1.7-acre estate was reduced from $37.5 million. Lucas, 66 — who’s reportedly been living on a Victorian estate near San Francisco — will be in good company, notes Montecito Journal columnist Richard Mineards, with fellow directors Ivan Reitman and Andrew Davis nearby, as well as Oprah Winfrey, Rob Lowe, Steve Martin, John Cleese and Kirk Douglas.
