Bieber shuts down Buenos Aires

Justin Bieber drew a frenzied crowd of screaming teenagers in front of his Buenos Aires hotel that was so large, police had to section off the whole neighborhood. The pop superstar is in Argentina for two concert dates this week, but when he arrived at the luxurious Faena Hotel in the Puerto Madero area, sources said there were 600 teen fans already waiting for him, creating major congestion in the streets. “The hotel had to call the police to bring barricades and close off the entire neighborhood,” a spy told us.

Our source joked that the screaming and gridlock were “bigger than when [former Argentine first lady] Evita appeared on the balcony of the presidential palace.” Bieber played at the city’s Monumental Stadium with pop band Cobra Starship as his opening act. Before the gigs, Bieber joined Starship lead singer Gabe Saporta, who was born in Uruguay, for an intimate birthday dinner at the hotel. Bieber’s tour will continue on to Chile and Venezuela. Local police, get ready.
