Graffiti in style

Stacey Bendet Eisner partnered with graffiti artist David Choe to create a custom collection for her Alice + Olivia clothing line. Eisner enlisted the artist to hand-paint his trademark “Woman and a Monkey” image on her gowns and dresses. Choe and Eisner unveiled the creations, to be sold as part of A+ O’s spring 2014 collection, on Wednesday at the Ambassador Gallery in the Meatpacking District, where guests including Zosia Mamet, Chloe Bridges, Nicky Hilton and Selita Ebanks came out to celebrate. Choe was famously recruited by Facebook’s Sean Parker to paint murals inside the social network’s office, and cleverly asked to be paid in shares instead of in cash. When Facebook went public, Choe netted $200 million — putting a new perspective on “struggling artists.”
