Designers Douglas Hannant and Jason Wu seem to have similar taste. Sources suggested a slim-fitting Wu pre-fall 2012 dress featuring a red-and-black houndstooth print panel is curiously similar to the one Hannant produced in his fall 2011 collection, with black-and-white panels on a black tweed dress. Hannant’s dress was worn by Anne Heche to a September event in Los Angeles, while Wu, a favorite of First Lady Michelle Obama, showed his pre-fall collection to buyers and editors earlier this month. “If I knew that Jason Wu liked my dress so much, I would have sold it to him,” said Hannant of the apparent similarities. A rep for Wu didn’t get back to us.
