Christie Brinkley’s stepfather dies

Don Brinkley – stepfather of supermodel Christie Brinkley — died Saturday in Sag Harbor of natural causes.

Christie Brinkley’s rep announced the news. Don Brinkley was 91.

Brinkley was a TV writer-producer who was honored by the Museum of Broadcasting in 1988.

His career spanned 50 years and included credits on classic programs including, “The Fugitive,” “Have Gun, Will Travel,” “Ben Casey,” “The Man From U.N.C.L.E.,” “Rawhide” and “Ironside.”

Brinkley also wrote and produced “Trapper John, M.D.,” which ran for seven years on CBS.

Don was married to Marge Brinkley for 55 years. The couple is survived by Christie, whom Don adopted, and a son, Greg.

The couple lived in Sag Harbor since 2007.
