Amanda Bynes: hit-and-run case reopened

A past hit-and-run case has come back to haunt Hollywood’s newest train-wreck Amanda Bynes.

Back in April, the actress allegedly rear-ended a BMW and fled the scene while driving a rental on the 101 freeway. The Los Angeles City Attorney rejected the case because there was no independent witness to back up the fact that she in fact fled the scene.

However, TMZ reports that prosecutors have decided to re-open the April incident after Bynes’ most recent hit-and-run charge on Ventura Boulevard in Los Angeles on August 4.

The gossip site claims that a guilty charge would peg Bynes with two misdemeanor hit-and-runs that carry a maximum sentence of six months each.

The “Easy A” actress has been arrested for DUI and accused of three hit-and-runs. Bynes’ wheel woes continued with her August 21 crash, where she allegedly rear-ended a car on the San Fernando Valley.
