Amanda Bynes driver’s license suspended

The streets of LA are safe for now—Amanda Bynes’ drivers license has just been suspended by the DMV.

The actress’ license was suspended after she was charged with two separate hit-and-runs this week, according to records from the California Department of Motor Vehicles obtained by the Los Angeles Times.

DMV officials would not specify when it took effect or the exact reason her license was taken away, claims the publication.

The LA City Attorney has reportedly charged the actress with two counts of misdemeanor hit-and-run after she allegedly smashed into a car and fled the scene in two separate incidents. If convicted on both counts, she faces up to a year in jail.

Hollywood’s newest train wreck was slapped with drunk driving charges after hitting a sheriff’s vehicle on April 6 in West Hollywood. She was charged with a DUI and refusing to take a Breathalyzer or blood-alcohol test.

She took to Twitter May 27 to deny the allegations: “I can’t help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don’t drink so the DUI is false.” Bynes pleaded not guilty through her attorney.

No word yet from Bynes’ camp.
