Liza Minnelli got nostalgic at the Dance Alliance Foundation gala honoring Mikhail Baryshnikov at NYU’s Skirball Center. “He learned all of these new steps,” the singer told us of their 1980 TV show, “Baryshnikov on Broadway” “The Charleston is difficult for a ballet dancer. For a while only one leg would do it, and then he got both — and did it better than anybody.” Minnelli also approves of Lindsay Lohan playing her friend Liz Taylor in “Liz & Dick,” telling us of Lohan, “She’s lovely. She’s a good actress.” Minnelli was accompanied to the event by her sister Lorna Luft.
