West Village neighbors wondered if Donna Karan’s Urban Zen space was shut down by the city after the space — often rented out for posh events and charity fund-raisers — mysteriously closed in August. Rumors swirled that the space had been shuttered because it had received complaints about events in the studio at 705 Greenwich St. Others speculated there was an issue with a license to serve liquor. But a Karan rep denied that there were any issues and told us the space was merely closed for a week for minor renovations. Urban Zen reopened Thursday. Karan will present her latest collection this afternoon at 547 W. 26th St.
