The folks at the French Connection retail chain are feeling pretty smart today. Disney just announced that Astrid Berges-Frisbey will be playing Johnny Depp‘s love interest, Syrena the Mermaid, in the upcoming “Pirates of the Caribbean 4.” The French model/actress happens to be “The Woman” in French Connection’s latest ad campaign. Rumor has it the movie’s producer, Jerry Bruckheimer, first saw Astrid on the chain’s billboard in SoHo.
