The Situation may become face & partner of Plaza Hotel gym

The Situation is in talks to become a partner and the face of a luxury gym at the Plaza Hotel — and offer personal ab workouts to its posh clientele.

“Jersey Shore” star Mike Sorrentino has been approached to become part owner of the high-end gym at the space formerly occupied by the celebrity-favorite Radu Fitness center in the landmark hotel.

A source told Page Six, The Situation is in talks to become an owner in the business, which would be the most exclusive and most VIP fitness club in the United States.

“There will be a very select clientele. Members would need letters of reference, and there will be a high initiation fee. The Situation will be originating a workout program, and he’ll occasionally teach abs class himself.”

Our source said, “The deal could also be rolled out to other Fairmont hotels.”

Sorrentino is in talks with Ross Franklin, CEO of RF Health Club Consulting, who in the next few weeks is expected to sign the lease for the former Radu, which closed a few months ago. The place was a favorite with celebrities, including Bianca Jagger, Margaux Hemingway, Candice Bergen and Cindy Crawford.

A rep for Sorrentino — who was voted off “Dancing With the Stars” this week — confirmed he was meeting with Franklin at the Plaza last night to discuss “several business ventures.”

The Situation’s gym would mark the latest chapter in the ongoing evolution of the reopened Plaza, where the “Retail Collection” has struggled with slow business and numerous store turnovers.

The restaurants also got off to a rocky start. The Oak Room lost its original chef and briefly closed last year before being re-launched with a new menu, and the equally famed Palm Court shut down for a year for a redesign prior to its relaunch.
