The LA-based Clune family spent $72,000 on a trip into space at charity event “The Night Before.” The family, which owns aerospace company Klune Industries, includes founder Jim, Gordon and Bill Clune. They successfully bid on the zero-gravity flight to support The Bash, a teen organization that raises money for Children’s Hospital Los An geles. Also auctioned off were “the world’s most expensive noodles,” created by An Catering and made of rare blue lob ster meat. They were bought for $5,800 by Arlene Montesano, an owner of Lucky Brand Jeans.
