Talking head Glenn Beck has traded in his East Coast digs for a Texas ranch. The political pundit — fresh off a globetrotting speaking tour in Israel, South Africa and Venezuela — sold his Connecticut home for $3.6 million when he left Fox News. He’s now moving to a ranch in backwater Bosque County, Texas [pop. 17,204], which he’ll call home while hosting his online channel, GBTV, from Dallas. Beck also plans to open radio and TV stations in the Lone Star State via his Mercury Radio Arts. According to the county’s Web site, he’ll arrive just in time for SeptemberFest, featuring a “Wild Game Cook-Off” and Texas’ largest fish fry. Yee-haw!
