Award-winning journalist Jeanne Meserve is leaving CNN after 15 years, but not without a stormy send-off. After reporting on Hurricane Katrina and the Sept. 11 attacks, and distinguishing herself as the net’s first homeland security correspondent, Meserve was sent to Maryland to be battered one last time by Irene. “Management says they’re all over these big hurricane and terror stories, yet they let this first-class reporter go,” said a source. No word on her next move. CNN didn’t get back to us.
