Lindsay Lohan gets new tattoo of Billy Joel lyrics

LOS ANGELES — Lindsay Lohan paid homage to fellow Long Island native Billy Joel by getting a new tattoo of the pop crooner’s lyrics, TMZ reported Thursday.

“Clear as a crystal, sharp as a knife, I feel as if I’m in the prime of my life,” read the new body art spotted on the actress’ upper rib cage, which are lines from Joel’s 1990 hit “I Go to Extremes.”

Sources told the celebrity website that Lohan decided to get the ink to represent where she is in life, after her numerous stints in rehab and run-ins-with the law.

After leaving the Betty Ford Center in January after a three month stay, Lohan admitted she was experiencing a few “bumps on the road” in her acting career, in an interview with “Extra.”

“As long as I’m focusing on the one thing that I know I need to put first in my life, which is my recovery and stuff, then I’m doing good and that’s most important to me,” the “Mean Girls” star said.

The 25-year-old is currently on probation for pleading no contest in May to taking a $2,500 necklace from a Los Angeles boutique.

Instead of jail, Lohan spent 35 days under house arrest this summer. As part of her sentence, she still has to complete a Shoplifters Alternative Course, log 480 hours of community service and undergo psychological counseling.
