Courtney Stodden’s short hemlines and overflowing cleavage, coupled with her constant public displays of affection with husband Doug Hutchison, have gotten the couple kicked out of a pumpkin patch and earned them sideways glances at church. But now Stodden has bucked expectations by wearing a floor-length black ball gown to the mall.
Seventeen-year-old Stodden’s formal look was hardly demure, however, while shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles with Hutchison, who is 34 years her senior.
Her beaded gown showed ample cleavage in the front and, in the back, her bra was fully visible, pulled up inches above the dipped back. The slit on her dress reached the top of her thigh and she tottered on sky-high, stripper-style silver heels. Stodden sported teased blonde hair and a face full of makeup, as usual.
Hutchison, known for his roles in “The Green Mile” and “Lost,” didn’t get the memo to dress up. He wore a t-shirt and jeans with a black leather jacket. The two stopped for a steamy kiss in front of Santa’s Workshop.
Stodden and Hutchison were married in May, when she was just 16-years-old. Her parents gave their consent to the union. In fact, her mom, Krista Stodden, has even defended Hutchison.
“He’s not creepy. He is such a great guy,” she told Radar Online. “I see why they’re together, he looks like he’s in his early 30s, and Courtney looks like she’s in her late 20s.”
Stodden describes her husband as “wonderful.”
She said in a recent interview with “The Fab Life,” “He picks up my coffee beans that I spill on the floor. He picks up my foundation. He picks up my feathers from my big robe that I wear. My high heels are all over … So I have a wonderful life, a wonderful husband. A typical day for me, is like, a princess.”
