Jon Hamm is brutally competitive, according to friends. But when it comes to longtime girlfriend, “Kissing Jessica Stein” actress Jennifer Westfeldt, he says he has found his match.
Earlier this year, actor Paul Rudd described going head to head with Hamm in Trivial Pursuit when they were younger.
“[He was] super handsome, really smart, and very good at sports — all of these things that I most certainly was not,” Rudd told Nylon magazine. “Every question that came up, I had no idea what the (bleeping) answer was. Jon, my arch nemesis, rolled the dice, and the question was, ‘What’s the biggest lake in Africa?’ and he just goes ‘Victoria.’ And I remember feeling so totally emasculated.”
“Parks and Recreation” actor Adam Scott also recently described to Conan O’Brien a racquetball tournament he had with Hamm: Apparently, Hamm won 150 games to Scott’s 0.
But when New York magazine asked what games Hamm dominated with Westfeldt, Hamm said none.
“That’s not true,” Westfeldt responded.
“Tennis,” Hamm admitted. “That’s about it. But I’m a boy, what are you gonna do?”
The couple says that they play the online Scrabble game Words with Friends on a daily basis. But Westfeldt is almost always the victor in that the competition.
