Friends are mourning former Andy Warhol Factory member Louis Waldon, who passed away on Friday morning in California at age 83. Waldon starred in several Warhol films — Lonesome Cowboys, Bike Boy, Nude Restaurant and Blue Movie. Waldon had been living in California producing silkscreens that sample Warhol’s imagery. His close friend and fellow Warhol superstar Richard Dupont told us, “Without Louie there never would have been any Warhol films. He was also the funniest guy, and all the artists loved him, he had a heart of gold.” We’re told gallerist Jeff Poe is arranging a memorial ceremony.
