Taylor Swift will never, ever get to live down her infamous Kanye West interruption at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards.
This time, the country singer was interrupted by presenter Olivia Munn who, as a joke, refused to give up Swift’s trophy for Favorite Country Artist at last night’s People’s Choice Awards.
“This always happens, God” Swift quipped.
“And it will always happen…this is your lot in life,” Munn responded.
They were alluding to West storming the MTV stage and taking the mic to protest Swift’s Best Female Video Moonman for “You Belong With Me” which beat out Beyonce’s “Single Ladies.”
After Munn finally turned over the award, Swift gave her acceptance speech. In a plunging Ralph Lauren gown, the starlet thanked her fans for supporting her music.
Swift’s had a rough week after her breakup with Harry Styles. Interestingly, the now-single singer exited the People’s Choice Awards stage as the boy band’s “Live While We’re Young” blared in the background.
