Destiny’s Child to reunite at Super Bowl: report

More great news for Destiny’s Child fans: Just one day after Beyonce announced the group would be releasing their first new material in eight years, US Weekly reports that the group is set to reunite for the first time in six years during the Super Bowl halftime show.

Beyonce will start the show solo, according to the mag, before bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams join her to perform a short medley of the group’s mega-hits. They’ll then segue into their new single, “Nuclear,” before Beyonce performs a solo single from her upcoming fifth album.

The group’s new release, “Love Songs,” is a compilation album of romantic hits with “Nuclear” being the only new material. Originally recorded between 1997 and 2004, the album will be released on January 29 – just in time for Valentine’s Day.
