Chef’s recipe for grunt work

Travis London, the celebrity chef and event planner who dated Rihanna, is completing his community service in the most fabulous fashion possible — by picking up trash alongside an LA freeway in Gucci suits.

London’s been spotted sporting a slew of designer suits, glittering Jimmy Choo shoes and Italia Independent sunglasses while picking up trash on Interstate 10 in Culver City.

The dapper London was caught driving with a suspended license and given a ticket. But a warrant was issued when the ticket went unpaid, and he was hit with 13 days of community service.

“Not only did he get dropped off for community service in a chauffeured SUV, but he showed up in a tuxedo and had sparkly shoes,” said a source who’s also on the cleanup crew. “Everyone was tripping. We pick up trash and do maintenance work, cutting trees and pulling grass.”

The flashy London was even forced to change by the fashion police.

“He was given a jumpsuit to wear over his clothes because they thought he’d distract drivers and cause an accident,” our source said.

London’s so far put in three days of service, during which, our source said, “He wore a red suit with blue sparkling shoes. Then he had on a green suit and animal-print shoes.” We’re told the culinary whiz was overheard explaining his dress was “a way to say, ‘[Bleep] you,’ to the system.”

Along with bucking the dress code, London is escorted to a public restroom instead of using a portable toilet on the truck. “He held it the whole first day and said he was going to pee on someone or be taken somewhere better,” said a source, adding, “He forgets to pack his lunch, so his assistant comes back with it in the SUV.”

London insists he’s working hard and taking it seriously. “I’m doing everything they ask,” he told us. “I go for eight hours a day. It’s like a job. I live a certain lifestyle, so why wouldn’t they expect me to continue it? I’ve never done this in my life. It’s one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I have to wear the clothes; otherwise, they’ll take away everything that’s me.”
