Actress Anna Deavere Smith led a reading of Janet Langhart Cohen’s play “Anne & Emmett,” an imaginary conversation between Anne Frank and Emmett Till, at a private event in New York on Monday to support the Smithsonian National Museum of African-American History and Culture. The evening was hosted by Henry Kissinger and Vernon Jordan with the playwright and her husband, former Secretary of Defense William S. Cohen. Other guests included Hank Greenberg, former Sen.
