Hollywood producer and activist Lawrence Bender co-chaired a recent fundraiser at the mega-mansion of Hyatt hotel heir Anthony Pritzker to benefit the UCLA Institute of the Environment and Sustainability. Guests at the event, where Al Gore and Lyn Davis Lear were honored, included Barbra Streisand, Warren Beatty and Annette Bening, LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, J.J. Abrams, Sumner Redstone, Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn, Courteney Cox and Larry King. Comic Sarah Silverman and crooner Jason Mraz entertained at the fête, which raised more than $1 million. Anthony and Jeanne Pritzker’s Benedict Canyon neighbors include Jay Leno and Bruce Springsteen.
