Larger than life New Jersey Governor Chris Christie finally met his pint sized nemesis, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.
The two met during an awkward encounter on the newly reopened Seaside Heights boardwalk after taping separate segments for “Today.”
In the footage, a very uncomfortable Snooki – standing next to “Jersey Shore” castmates JWoww and Deena Cortese – asks Christie why he’s standing so close to her. Hilariously, Christie decides to lean in even closer.
Snooki told Christie, “I just wanted to meet you, and just, hope you start to like us.”
Christie responded, “Well, we’ll do our best.”
After the Jersey Icons parted away, Snooki told JWoow, “He just doesn’t like us.”
Christie has been extremely critical of the MTV reality show and its stars, and has reportedly called them “losers.”
“Getting told why we are bad for jersey. Amazing,” Snooki tweeted today with a picture of her and JWoww talking to Christie on the Seaside Heights boardwalk.
