Southampton nightclub South Pointe (once known as Tavern) is set to reopen this weekend amid a dispute between the owners. The hot spot’s landlords, John Flanagan and brothers Eric and Gordon Van Brock, had a falling out and haven’t spoken for three years, the Post’s Richard Johnson reports. And the parties made deals with two different tenants to operate the club this summer. Flanagan’s claiming that South Pointe’s Stephen Tedeschi failed to exercise an option to rent the space for $180,000 this summer and found a new tenant, Lee Kirsner, willing to pay $200,000. Flanagan’s lawyer, Mark Heller, said, “A judge rather than a DJ will decide whether or not the beat goes on.” Tedeschi’s a partner in SH Entertainment with Ben Grieff and David Marino, who planned to kick off South Pointe with three days of parties this weekend. A rep for SH Entertainment told us, “Stephen is the tenant on record and will be working with [Grieff and Marino] this summer at South Pointe, where they will be launching an awesome DJ lineup.”
