Jade Jagger caused some drama away from movie screens at the Cannes Film Festival this week. Spies saw Mick’s jewelry-designer daughter lunching leisurely at the Torch Beach Club, but at 6 p.m., when organizers wanted to clear the space to make room for a fete celebrating James Franco’s “As I Lay Dying,” she wasn’t in the mood to leave. An excited producer of the film attempted to clear people out by exclaiming, “We have to vacate or we’ll lose millions. Millions!” a spy said. But Jagger just sniffed, “It’s so American.” She asked people to leave, then jumped on a stage and said into a mike, mocking the nervous Nellie: “Thank you very much, ladies and gentlemen . . . It’s going to cost us millions of dollars!”
