Concert pianist and artist Chau-Giang Thi Nguyen hosted a private party at her SoHo loft to unveil her new paintings plus dresses by designer Duc Hung and furniture by BoConcept. The multitalented hostess — known to pals as Coco — even provided entertainment at her grand piano and whipped up Vietnamese snacks. “In addition to being a great pianist, she’s an amazing cook,” exclaimed a guest describing the shindig as “East Meets West.” Laurent Tourondel provided a cocktail creation called “River of Diamonds” after the English translation of Nguyen’s name. Guests included Liliana Cavendish, Michele Gerber Klein and Elaine Sargent. After nearly becoming a Hollywood wife to überproducer Brian Grazer, Nguyen, “doesn’t miss Malibu . . . because it was so isolated,” a spy said. “She loves New York . . . she hates to leave.”
